Privacy at Cherubyte

Cherubyte Technologies is a DBA of The Oak & Chisel LLC, based in California. This notice describes how we handle information collected through this website and its inquiry form.

When you submit an inquiry, the website sends the details you provide through our Google Workspace email service to Cherubyte. This includes your name, email address, optional company, inquiry type and message. Project inquiries also include your service selection, optional budget and preferred timeline. You can also email us directly instead.

Information received through email is used to respond to your request, understand your needs, discuss a project and maintain necessary business records. Do not include sensitive personal information, banking details or passwords in an initial inquiry.

We use OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare to host and protect the website, and Google Workspace and Google Apps Script to deliver inquiry emails. These providers process information needed to operate those services. Hosting and security records may include your IP address, browser information, requested pages, timestamps and errors. If you use a sign-in option, the sign-in provider also processes the account information needed for access.

When operational email alerts are enabled, we use Resend to notify our business about inquiry-service failures. These alerts contain a failure category and reporting time window; they do not include visitor names, email addresses or inquiry messages. See the Resend privacy notice for its practices.

We use Cloudflare Turnstile to help prevent automated abuse. It processes browser and network signals to verify submissions. Our delivery service uses limited records to detect duplicate inquiries and limit repeated submissions. These records do not contain your message text and are cleared after expiry during later requests. Submitted inquiries are delivered to our business inbox.

Our website does not use advertising pixels or cross-site behavioral advertising. We do not change that practice in response to a browser Do Not Track signal. Hosting, sign-in and security services may use cookies or similar technologies to provide their functions. You can manage cookies in your browser; blocking them may affect sign-in or inquiry verification. See the OpenAI, Cloudflare and Google privacy notices for their practices.

Our policy is to delete inquiry emails that do not become projects after 12 months. For inquiries that become client projects, we retain records as needed to fulfill our agreements and meet legal obligations. The limited abuse-prevention records described above follow a separate expiry process. Service-provider logs and backups follow the applicable provider retention practices; the 12-month inquiry policy does not set their retention periods.

We will post updates on this page and revise the date above. For material changes, we will also provide a prominent website notice or contact affected individuals where appropriate.
